REBT/CBT Depression Anxiety did it benefit you? How?

Have you read/practised REBT or CBT? Treated with or educated by a CBT practioner/therapist and did this help you?

How?

How is your mood/health now? what was the best thing about these techniques that helped you?

Be great to hear from you, these techniques helped me, changed my life, and now im tinking of getting into therapy, and am interested in other peoples views on the above question.

Woo hoo!! CBT is the best. After 15 years of panic attacks they vanished. I visited a psychologist, but she basically taught me using "The Feeling Good Handbook". I still get a little anxious now and again, but my life has completely changed. The person who invented CBT should be given a medal. Good luck if you become a therapist!
CBT did wonders for my anxiety disorder. It completely changed my outlook. It was the only thing that helped and I'd tried conventional therapy and practically every antidepressant on the market.

I am now completely off all psychoactive drugs and my mental health is good. What is great is that I no longer have to deal with all the side effects of TCAs and SSRIs which are extensive. I had to work to lose the weight I gained from taking them, but after CBT, I had the nerve to actually walk outside and go to a gym.

I highly recommend CBT to anyone with anxiety. Good luck!
