Im going threw Depression, How do you Handle it? i have no insurance,?

I have great depression too, mainly because I feel so guilty for dumping my girlfriend. I feel like **** because she won't get over me. All I can say is TRY not to think about the thing that is making u depressed, some people say find a hobby to take your mind off of that thing that makes u depressed but that dosent help me much. For me working out makes me feel better, talking to my family spending more time with them, that sort of stuff.
See if there is a free clinic in your city, you may be eligible for free treatment. Find a support group also.
I am sorry to learn that you are depressed. Please look in your phone book. There should be a listing of hotlines in the front to use in case of an emergency. Look in the yellow pages under hospitals, or call your county health department to learn where there are free or very low cost clinics. Do not wait! Please do this at once. I understand that this is a very difficult and painful time for you. Reach out for help! Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance; medication can change your life. Please know that most antidepressants take about 3 weeks to take effect; don't be concerned if you don't have an immediate response.

Change your diet and eat foods that might help stop depression. Certain foods help depression sufferers. Bananas are one. Seeing if foods could help would be a cheap way. If you click on the essortment link there are at least a couple sentences on depression halfway through the article, but read the whole thing anyway. Its a really interesting piece on the health benefits of bananas. (also maybe type in " good mood foods"in Google and see what comes up.) See if there are any support groups at your local hospital, community center, college, etc. Especially if you think your depression is caused by one factor (i.e. eating disorder, death of a loved one, etc.) most hospitals have free groups for targeted discussions. If you are currently enrolled in college/school your school should have a free counseling center. If not, talk to a trusted friend or family member. Talking really helps. If you're into writing you could try journaling as well.
