Depression,anxiety, paranoia, irritability,no patience, AAARRGGHH, help!? x?

Ive suffered with anxiety for aslong as i can remember, with varying degrees of other symptoms. At worst i can be all of the above, at best i can be slightly anxious. To be honest ive learned to accept the anxiety as part of me and have had some sessions with a physchotherapist and understand its down to my childhood which was very turbulent and stressful. Because the only thing i know is stress, then that is how i deal with everyday situations, i get stressed and anxious. I wake up every day with butterflies for no particular reason and i really want to sort this out once and for all. Anti-depressants arent an option as i have a high pressured job and a child and cannot afford to be zombiefied! Ive tried 2 different kinds and they have literally been like taking sleeping pills!! Like i said, ive had some therapy, but cant really afford it on a regular basis and have been on the NHS waiting list for nearly a year!! I honestly feel like im going crazy, please help!

The thing that sticks out most in your statement is the part about a high pressure job - it may be considering trying to decrease the pressure in your life as this can cause stress which goes hand in hand with anxiety!
Fatigue, insomnia, mental confusion, anxiety, nervousness, mood swings, faintness, headaches, depression, phobias, heart palpitations, a craving for sweets, cold hands and feet, forgetfulness, dizziness, blurred vision, inner trembling, outbursts of temper, sudden hunger, allergies, and crying spells are signs of hypoglycemia. Have you ever been checked for that?? http://hypoglycemia.org/hypo_test.asp...
The help you really need can only come by visiting your GP who can refer you to a psychologist - just keep going and keep asking. Also visit mood Gym and Moodjuice

I sympathise, i also have anxiety/depression. I am on a anti depressant called Mirtazapine that doesn't make me drowsy and i also take a beta blocker called Propranolol which is really good for the 'butterflies'. Also if want to see a nhs shrink tell your g.p you are self harming or at least considering it, they should fast track your referral. It worked for me, take care.
I also get anxiety which has now morphed from panic attacks into Irritable Bowel Syndrome. To counteract this, I am currently focusing on my diet: I am succeeding in giving up chocolate (hence the new name: I'm normally 'TOBERMORY'.) and have returned to being teetotal after 13 years of not drinking very much at all anyway. Next step for me will be to reduce my sugar intake. I'm of the opinion that the worst thing for anxiety is stimulants and refined food and the best thing is a wholefood diet and plenty of exercise. Take care of yourself!
Hi Knickknack! Just did an almost similar question. Can you kindly refer to "I am sad/angry but I don't know why". Wish u luck and great health!
You have symptoms of lyme disease, which is an infection.
But your symptoms may not be caused by lyme, but in your situation anything is worth investigating.
If you suffer from fatigue too, I would be highly suspicious of lyme disease.Along with unexplained symptoms in general.
