Anyone on Lamictal for Bipolar 2? I am not getting any relief from my depression and anxiety.?

I just started taking the initial 25mg. dose at night along with seroquel to help me sleep. I am supposed to increase to 50 mg. next week, and 75 the following week. Right now, I feel absolutely terrible: feel like crying all the time; staying in the house as much as I can; thinking of death and suicide often, etc... I am really struggling, and looking for some help. Will the depression and anxiety ever go away? Is there anything I can do to help myself? What about electro-convulsive therapy? I will try anything.

aww hun hang in there you need to let it build up so it can work it might take a few weeks what you can do is ask the dr if you can get something to take til the others kick in. electro-convulsive therapy sounds like something from the dark ages. Have you had a blood sugar test done low blood sugar can give you anxiety and nervousness's .. Like I said tho i would ask the Dr for something like ativan. til the other meds work ... Good luck all my best to ya (((HUGS))) those cant hurt
It takes a long time for Lamictal to build up in you system. Don't give up on it yet. I know it's hard to wait on, but if you've lasted this long, you can keep going until it starts to work. I'm on Lamictal for bipolar 1 and once I got stablized on my meds (I'm on 3) I feel closer to normal than I've been in years. Do your best to keep yourself distracted and busy until the meds kick in. It will be gradual, but you will notice a difference.
