I'm wondering if men don't want to go out with people with depression?

Are they afraid of women with depression even if they are on medication.

What? Now think about this......how is he going to know you have depression unless you tell him? And if you tell a guy on your first date (or second, third, etc.) that you have depression...THAT would turn me off. Why does anyone need to know? That's between you and your doctor. You're getting treated......so? If your treatment is not working, then you need to go back to your doctor and discuss other treatment options. And until you get your symptoms under control....you shouldn't be dating anyone. If you talk about your depression with people a lot, then that does suck the life out of them, too. That's why getting the right treatment is so important. Not being treated or on the right treatment not only effects you, it effects everyone around you. Source(s): FDA researcher
I wouldn't mind. Some depressed people are very nice. The big question is who will they finally end up being when the drugs and depression change? How do I know they will stay with me if they go through a radical personality change? Would I go out with them, sure. Would I marry one of them, not so sure?
I don't think it makes a difference. My boyfriend takes medication for depression and it doesn't bother me at all.
Well the happier someone is, the better for themselves and others and the more popular they are. See site below for natural help for depression.

But don't stop there. Keep going until you feel perfect peace and extreme happiness.

Not most decent guys. I have a few of those problems, and the jerks had some issues, but the good guys (especially my bf now) ask how you are dealing with the depression and how it affects your life. If he uses is as an excuse not to see you, he's an ***! As long as you are upfront, but don't make it the first thing, you should be good. It is more on how it affects you that can scare them off, just be honest and don't make it a bigger deal than you want them to.
