I just wonder what some of peoples thoughts on depression pills were and if there were any specific brand? The medications that you're referring to are called anti-depressants. They are medications used to help regulate the chemical in your brain that are not working properly and are contributing to your depression. There are many kinds of anti-depressants. I have had to use several different ones before I found one that worked for me. You can't say that say cymbalata will work for you because your brain and body chemical are different than mine. What other medications you might be taking also have something to do with which medication that you'll be given. Another issue is your age and gender. What a doctor would give to a patient who's in their 20 or 30's would react differently than someone in their 70's or 80s'. Men react to certain medications differently than women and vice versa. So there are a lot of variables when it comes to anti-depressants and it's something that you have to discuss with your doctor. And make sure that your doctor knows all of the medications and other medicines even those over the counter and any herbs that you take. You don't want to be taking something that interacts with your medication it could be life threatening. A stupid doctor gave me Paxil and I wasted 6 years of my life on that poison. It almost killed me. I thank God I was finally able to get off it. In some state, there is an entire town taking Prozac. Depression meds are good, if you truly need them. They help millions of people not suffer any longer. There are many different types and many different names, so I suggest that if you think that you need them, discuss them with your doctor. Good Luck!!! Well my ex is taking Lexapro. I feel that depression pills are okay to take. After all it is a chemical imbalance in the brain and it's okay to need a regulator from time to time. Just make sure to talk it over with a doctor you trust. Another brand is Zoloft. One there are many brands of anti-depressant medications and the specific brand or brands is not the same for every patient with depression in other words it is up to you and your doctor to decide which brand maybe best for you and that comes through seeing a doctor and have him/her evaluate your condition and the first medication may not be the one for you or the dosage maybe to strong or too weak that is how the doctor and you determine what works and what doesn't and at what dosage and that all medications work and don't work for every person that is were you and the doctor have to communicate and he/she is not going to know it is not working if you do not tell them now will they? The specific brand there is no such thing as a specific brand so you can lose that thought it is not like going to the super market looking for a specific brand of peanut butter you like ok it does not work that way because the wrong medication and wrong dosage if too strong could do more harm than good because some anti depressants are narcotic get the point of seeing a doctor now! |
