Depression or menopause?/??/?


I have asked a few other questions like this one and can't seem to get my question out right. I have been going through what I thought was bouts of depression when now, my symtoms are pointing towards menopause. I had a total hysterectomy a year ago. Am on no hormones, having irritability, can't sleep, bad hot flashes, clenching my jaw...crabby then happy....anyone else experience this? My doc was pointing toward depression but the meds just made things worse.

Sounds more like Menopause than Depression!
