Any way to help with depression without taking prescriptions or going to doctors? Any natural anecdotes?

I'm very tired all the time, have no energy, and no sex drive. All I want to do is lock myself at home. Any ideas would help

Hi, there are lots of things you can do to help yourself without taking antidepressants.

Yes do some exercise
Go out more even if it kills your. Spend time with your friends and see just how fun life can be.
All I can recommend is to try and avoid the feeling of locking yourself away. Fight against this as much as you possibly can and involve yourself in LIFE .. hobbies, volunteer work, friendships, music, etc. - whatever it takes to pull yourself out of it, for you are at war in a sense. All the best - try and stay positive.
I've tried them all too. Get physical even if you dont' want too. In the morning get outside and jog or fast walk a couple times around your block. Listen to more upbeat music. Find a friend you can spill the allllllllllll the beans too. Oh and force yourself to eat a protien enriched breakfast in the morning.
I'm a hermit, but i have good confidence because i lift weights, it triggers some chemicals that naturally make you feel good, not to mention makes ya look good. It's definately the way to go
