Depression, stress, etc?

how do you know if youre suffering from stress related depression... can you recover... whats the solution... will you ever be the same again...

You will be the same again believe me. but it will take varying time to rid depending how you cope with it. the pit seems to get deeper every day and your feeling is impossible to describe to anyone. the best way is to be inwardly determined to break the cycle and fight your own mind not to think depression.

I have been there
Yes you can. The most common treatments are antidepressants and counseling. Talk to your doctor. Your doctor will maybe have referrals for counseling and can prescribe you medication.
Yes you can easily recover from STRESS related depression. Eliminating the stress is the easiest way. Medication and therapy help otherwise.
well actually i am suffering from stress and it is horrible隆隆隆隆 i am blocked, i seem a sick or so
you can practice meditacion , o exercise , it is very good , but relax relax
if you dont relax you can get a depression , and you can feel without fources for nothing
medication and coucelling is not always the answer. first you need to identify what is causing your stress. if it is a job you may need to consider finding another one. that may seem drastic but you have to think about yourself. is it worth being miserable? find out what is causing your stress and try to take it out of your life. there are also alternative treatments. try running in the morning or at the end of the day. or on the weekends do something you really enjoy, like going to the movies, calling an old friend. you could also change your eating habits. avoid things like chips and try different snacks like an orange. dont do something drastic like taking medication until you have tried everything else. it may just be time for a change in your lifestyle.
I don't think you can "know" beyond a shadow of a doubt. Trying to diagnose and fix your brain, WITH your brain, doesn't seem to work.

I think if you have a suspicion you might be, it's better to err on the side of caution and talk to a professional about it.

The stigma associated with mental illnes sux, but suicide & breakdowns are much worse. If you can recognize it as an actual chemical process - not unlike Diabetes - it's easier to accept and treat.

Either way, I've never heard of anyone "catch" mental illness from a psychiatrist/psychologist's office - so there isn't much risk there.

As to getting over it - if it's episodic, like a quick illness - then it may pass and not bother you again. Or it may visit now and then.

If it's a condition that you simply have - then it's not so much a "get-over" kind of thing as just a part of who you are. No different than flat feet, lazy eye, or any other part of who you are - it's just something to be aware of and treat as needed.

I struggled with the very idea of it for years. Then when I did seek help, I was diagnosed with Depression - mis-medicated, and things got worse. I've since had a diagnosis of BiPolar, re-medicated, and am truly enjoying life as a level person. I'm not excessively "up" nor excessively "down," but I'm not a zombie either.

I don't say that as a horror story, just letting you know that it's a process - like any treatment process - and to hang in there if it gets weird.

Good luck!
Hello Maximus_Decimus_Meridius :-)

You know your medical insurance may be able to cover a residential treatment in some relaxed environment like an oceanfront treatment center. I work for rehab clinics located in Florida and California. We treat people with substance abuse issues, but we also provide great programs for people who want to take some time out from their everyday life and attend counseling. The usual stay is 28 days. You should feel empowered and back to normal when you're done. I have added a link to us so you can check us out. Good luck!
