How to cure a deep, severe feeling of depression?!?

This depression... feeling of hoplelessness... feels like it's NEVER going to go away!? It just doesn't seem curable to me. Are there others out there who actually feel like they've crawled out of that dark hole?? How did you do it?

Hi, I know at the moment you feel taht way - I did too, but it is possible to turn things around. You need to put in some effort and there is no 'quick fix' but you can do it.

Take a look at the Self Help pages on the site listed below in the sources box for some ideas on what might help you. These are the things I used to help me overcome depression, and it worked for me.

Hope this helps and good luck! Source(s): http://www.self-help-mental-health-depre...
maybe you should see a psychiatrist
I wish I knew the answer to this one. I'm on Lexapro and Ativan, for depression and anxiety. They seemed to work at first, but now I am at the same place you are at. I wish I could just say that there was thing "cure" that could make you feel better, but the truth is....it's long, hard road. Just know that there are people who love and care for you, and pray if you are religious. That helps a lot. And if you haven't already...try seeing a medical professional. Good luck.
I have for the most part, overcome my depression. See a doctor or psych ASAP. Tell them exactly how you are feeling. When they give you meds be patient anf give them time to work. If they do not work keep going back until you find one that will help you feel good again. Best of luck to you. I know EXACTLY how you are feeling.

I wish I had an answer to give you. But I myself am trying to crawle out of that dark hole. I know how you feel. I wish I could help you.

Best of luck
