Can you get some type of herpes from extreme depression, anxiety, anger or stress etc.?

Please no rude comments, I'm asking for my mom. A while ago my mom started getting outbreaks in her private area as well as her mouth. She had been depressed because two of her grandchildren moved 20 hours away from us and she used to take care of them when their mom would go to work. She loves those kids sooo much. After that she was really depressed. Any time that she gets angry or really really worried about one of her children or anybody else, she says that she can feel the burning and the upcoming warts. If she relaxes she doesn't get them. She went to the doctor and he told her she had herpes but not because of any sexual reason. He told her it was because she was depressed and worried too much. My mother has been happily married to my father for about 40 years and my mom isn't like that, she's a decent woman and would never do anything like that. Is this possible? I mean it sounds almost incredible.

yes this is possible.there was a news report about a few years back.and i was discussing this very subject with someone. this person noticed when they got angry and stressed and out they had an outbreak or sometimes even a common cold would bring one on.tell her 2 do some further research and she will see that she is not alone .she needs 2 stay calm @ all times. i hope i have helped.
wtf... no...
your mother or anyone with herpes needs a full STD exam and antiviral medications for outbreaks. herpes is very contagious and can be easily spread to others or other parts of the body, so be sure to limit contamination by not touching the ulcers.
Does sound incredibly wierd, but then again I know nothing about this stuff.

If you can get them from extreme depression and stress I better look out!!

Hope it all works out for your mother though. surely the Dr should treat it and medicate it so it doesnt keep coming back again? Get a second opinion, it never hurts./

EDIT:

Nah this questions just oo wierd... surely its not possible. Perhaps your dad did something out of the marriage and contaminated your mother? Get her back to the DR, there must be something they can do, its not your problem.
i dont think anger or depression get you herpes its something else but not herpes .
You wouldn't "catch" herpes from being upset/stressed. But, those are triggers that bring the virus out, so to say. Meaning, she has it in her body already, and those are the triggers for it-which is common.

It might be shingles she's getting. Shingles is related to the chicken pox virus we all got when we were kids. Shingles tends to show up when we're in our 30's or older, and stress can also trigger it. Try doing a search on shingles for more info on it, then get a second opinion from another dr!

I reread your question, and not to be too graphic, and you may not want to hear this about your parents lol, but they've proven that if you have a cold sore, and perform oral sex, you can transmit that to the private areas. So, that may also be what she has. And, like I first mentioned, it's common when we're stressed or upset for viral infections to "show up" at that time. Stress lowers our immune systems, making us more susceptible to colds etc. So, I would say yes, it's possible.
Louis the 8th and his wives never took baths so that is where it started every single person on earth has this form of herpie its milked down massive, and some carry it some are effected by it.... if your talking about a cold soar that is not herpies...
take care...
Herpies is a desease that needs sexual intercourse to pass on.. Get bloodwork done its very simple test for all deseases and then buy a big plastic bag and pump in and never come out again! LOLOL
