When was depression diagnosed and who discovered it?

Deep down I've always known, but wasn't able to get help on my own. My girlfriend forced me to because of my self-destructive behavior.

Still dealing with it, but its getting better now that I have gotten help. Even though it may be my life long struggle, I now want to conquer and/or manage it.

The hardest part is knowing that you have a medical condition and it is okay to seek out help and change. It gets easier after that
I suspect it was Adam after he bit into the apple and, after realizing what he'd done with Eve and must have gone into a deep depression as he lamented over what he knew they'd started.

What a fine mess he got us into.
