Overcoming depression without medication? |
I really wanted to overcome this feeling, but i don't want to use medicine as a quick fix. my mom has been taking anti depressants for 12 years, and i don't want to be hooked on a pill like that. is it possible for a person to really overcome depression without having medication? any suggestions? Hi, yes I managed to do it without conventional antidepressants. Take a look at the Self Help pages on the site in the sources box to see the methods that I used. Hope this helps. Source(s): http://www.self-help-mental-health-depre... GOD is your only answer.........it worked for me you have to seek him.......... try the diet and supplement plan outlined in The Mood Cure. it says: Depression and anxiety have tripled in the last ten years. The Mood Cure explains why and provides the good news that we can feel better emotionally, without the use of caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, or anti-depressants-and the even better news that we can begin to see the results in just one day. The Mood Cure is a comprehensive natural approach that jump-starts your program with brain-fueling amino acids combined with a high-protein, healthy-fat, veggie-rich diet and other nutritional strategies. http://www.moodcure.com/ I was on meds for three years, and now I'm finally off them. I turned to my spirituality and my faith. I also filled my life with the things that make me happy: violin, singing, dancing, theatre, writing songs, etc. I basically stopped focusing on the fact that I have depression, and focused on the good things in my life. My familiar(my cat) and I became a lot closer, and I am genuinely happy now. Message me if you want to talk to somebody, ok? Blessed be. Yes. By experiencing outcomes in your family first hand gives you motivation to make well-informed decisions. Seek mental health counseling periodically to stay on track because depression is part of your family history. Stay positive and productive and you will be fine. Stay Healthy!!!! |
