Research on diabetes....?

Do you know if there has been any resarch or any medical advances for diabetes??

(my computer is slow so it takes forever to search for stuff)

There is ongoing research on many fronts. Most recently, research has shown that certain grains (barley especially) help to control blood sugar for up to 10 hours.

If you take into consideration that it was in the 20s that insulin was developed, and then into the 90s before they let us have personal glucose monitors, you must admit that they are moving very very slowly in any developments and treatments not to say any progress on maybe finding a cure for Diabetes of either type.

All the meds we use now including the pumps, finer needles, glucometers, and oral meds along with insulins and a couple of injectables have just come on the market in the last 20 years.

Most doctors are still in the 20th century and haven't moved yet into the 21st where we all live. Don't hold your breath waiting for medical breakthroughs.

Best we can do is slowly (dialup speed on computer) experiment with our food plans, exercise plans and medication plans to our best advantage and keep really tight control of our glucose numbers. Then we may even live to see cures!!

hi there has been a lot of research into diabetes and there have been some medical advances in diabetes if your wonder as if there close to a cure will the answer to this, there is talk for type 1 but this will be at the earlyest 20 years of and even a way longer again for type 2 but i would to my breath on that

This doesn't have anything to do with Nick Jonas, does it? Sorry, but when I see teenage girls ask questions like this is usually does! There are countless advances that have been made, you'll just need to research that on the internet. But no cure yet, that's what we're waiting for...
