Contacts and Diabetes....:(? |
Okay - so my father has diabetes and he has bad eye vision. My entire family has bad eye vision. I used to wear contacts and Junior High but I forgot the reason why I stopped. BUT - I decided to wear contacts again and my left eye keeps twitching everytime I wear them. When I wear my eye glasses it doesn't twitch. Maybe I have that one inside out, or? I'm scared and I might think that it has something to do with my father's diabetes and I probably inherited something? Is it okay if I continue to wear contacts with my "condition". I hate the way my glasses make me look. I wanted something different. I'm also scared what the doctors might tell me but I dont want to see a Dr before it's too late.....:( And also, I checked several times and I don't have diabetes but I haven't been checked out lately. Your contact lens discomfort is not related to any family history of diabetes. When you first wear contact lenses, your eye needs to get used to having something unfamiliar and foreign in it. If the discomfort is not getting better, you can go back to the doctor who fit you and he/she can try check the fit and/or try another brand of lens on you. you eyes prolly aren't used to it give it time you sound like u will have to get used to the glasses |
