Diabetes? Possibly? |
I've been craving orange juice and salt. Salt craving can occur due to dehydration. It can also be due to a medical condition called Addison's disease 鈥?especially if the salt craving is new, persistent and excessive. Other signs and symptoms of Addison's disease include muscle weakness, fatigue, weight loss and low blood pressure. These could be symptoms of diabetes, as well as dehydration and a few other things. Have someone smell your breath (yes, I'm serious). If they think it is an acidy sickly sweet smell, you're probably ketoacidotic, which is a serious symptom of diabetes. Switch to water to drink from the orange juice, and if you get up to pee more than 2 times in the night, I'd run to the doctor. Good luck, diabetes is a rough disease. |
