Diabetes screening numbers.....are these good??

Fasting for 14 hours, glucose level was 68mg/dL
Triglycerides =88

Felt normal during the test....just very worried about developing diabetes at some point:

20 lbs overweight also

Thanks!

Your numbers are good. If you don't have diabetes in your family, I would not worry. Being 20 pounds overweight does not mean you will get diabetes, however, you might want to lose it just for better all around health. You do not have to be overweight to develop diabetes.

Lack of knowledge can be very scary. I recommend you visit my blog site and print off the Blood Glucose Level Chart. It relate the HbA1C and daily finger prick tests. The chart also will give you ranges of results so you can better understand that the daily finger prick test can very widely. You can study the ranges and understand where you are and live with less tension.

Best Wishes.

You are OK. But remember that glucose level are never constant, they reflect what you eat and how your metabolism works. Eat from all food categories (carbs, protein and fat) and start some exercising to work on your belly.
You will be in best shape in no time when you just put your mind behind.

68 is excellent and so is the triglycerides.Just continue what you are doing.I would suggest you lose weight.

great number, start walking
