Just diagnosed with hypoglicemia not in diabetes and i don't know what to do?

OK i was just diagnosed a few days ago and i need some help...I had a late lunch because church ran late. i went home and had a grilled cheeze sancdwich with some milk (for lunch) and took a nap (there is he hypo kicking in) and i woke up sweating and pale. i don't know what to do because i thaught that the grilled cheeze and milk wouldn't give me an attack but it did. I am still sweating and pale and now i am really dizzy...HELP!!!

For the immediate problem, you could drink some orange juice or even some soda to raise your blood sugar.
Your hypoglycemia must be the kind that your blood sugar just runs low, so it's harder for me to make suggestions. Mine is reactive. I eat sweets and fall asleep from an overproduction of insulin. I haven't had the pale, sweating, dizzy condition that you describe. I think you will need to go back to the doctor and find out what kind of diet you should follow for Hypoglycemia. Here is a site I found by doing a search for Hypoglycemia diet:

Hypoglycemia Diet, Suggested Meal Plan. (Ask your doctor, before ...The above hypoglycemic diet plan was given to me by MY dietitian and approved by MY doctor. Before following any diet please seek the advice of YOUR doctor ...

my mom has the same exact thing. as soon as u get hungry eat something if not ur hands start shaking, u get mood swings and u might faint. if u have to eat a lot get something yummy and healthy (my mom has chocolate granola bars that raise your blood sugar to a normal level- they're good! you could also try weight watchers hard candy) also there is a medicine u can take that helps control ur blood sugar it's a once daily pill. also make an appointment once a year or every 6 months to have ur blood sugar stable. the test will also tell u if u at risk of getting diabetes (if u eat healthy, exercise, take the medication and pay attention to ur body's needs it will probably not happen) it is a little hard at first but u will get used to everything. i hope u feel fine! :-)

test your sugar i bet it is high. you spiked your sugar. drink a glass of water 8-10 oz.
sit down
do not lay down,
hypoglycemia is low blood sugar. if you spike it too quick you can get the effects you have. you have to get a blood sugar monitor. if your sugar is high drink water and rest. if your sugar is low then you need juice or something with sugar.

Maybe you shouldn't have taken bread, as your diagnosis may not have indicated possible celiac disease, allergy to glutens, or simple lactose intolerance. You should have been okay. You must see the doctor, or a different doctor ASAP. Eat some fruit, and good vegetables, soya beverages, lean meats and broths till you know what you have.

mady,
The subject is quite extensive, so here is a link, with internal links, which may answer your questions more easily than trying to condense information to insert into this forum.
