Would type 2 diabetes make it hard to do physical activities like 36 holes of golf?

well im sort of a hypochondriac and been hearing a lot about diabetes which makes me wonder if i have it? I really dont have any of the symptoms, but i am overweight by about 20 lbs....would having type 2 untreated make it hard to play 36 holes of golf in hot weather??

The only time diabetes would make it hard to play golf is if you have PAD. (periphrial artery disease) When you are diabetic of either type, you need the exercise. Just because you are overweight does not mean you will get diabetes. 51% of type 2 diabetics are not or have ever been overweight. Go play golf, just be careful not to over do it in the hot weather no matter what kind of health your have. Be sure to drink plenty of fluid.

Being overweight will make it harder to play 36 holes of golf on a hot day!!!

Diabetes will only be improved by playing this game!! Any and all exercise (movement) is really good game plan for keeping glucose levels down to normal.

Golf will help you to lose weight also. But please leave the cart at the clubhouse and walk carrying your clubs for the most benefit!!

On hot days be sure to take plenty of water to drink!

Being type 2 diabetic would make it necessary to do activities such as 36 holes of golf.

Our doctors are always encouraging us to get more active. Lose the extra 20 pounds by walking the entire 36 rounds of golf and dragging the golf bag. It will be only a matter of a couple of weeks before you have the extra weight gone.

As a hypochondriac you like being informed about your body's condition. Good! Now plan to take care of you body. For 36 holes of golf carry water, a snack (I like nuts) and dress properly for the weather. You will be fine diabetic or not.

It is really that easy. As a diabetic you just present yourself to friends as a mild health nut.

Best Wishes.

Not really. You would have to carefully monitor your sugar levels. There have been NBA players who are diabetic and people who have competed in the Iron Man Triathlons so I don't think golf is out of the question.

If a person is a diabetic of any kind, (type 1 or 2) they can use all the outdoor exercise they can get. They should just be sure to carry a few snacks with them that contain good carbs and plenty of water, and wear a hat.

Keep Golfing that a great activity you know you could lose weight naturaly with / foreverliving com /use my ID 001000666848 this is the world鈥檚 best place for health on the planet.

Don't worry, any exercise would help you to overcome the symptoms of diabetes. Drink some water when it's hot out there and enjoy the fairway.
