I am 26 years old, when I was diagnosed with type1 diabetes 5 years ago my .what can i do?

i take insunil dos morning and eveing.

monitor blood sugar levels, watch food exchanges (15g of carbs is an exchangehttp://www.dietitian.com/diabexch.html.
i have 2 exchanges per meal) try to stay away with foods with added sugar (fruit is ok to eat but they are counted as an exchange<1 apple is an exchange>) only have candy when your blood sugar level is low. and try to have low fat foods. low GI foods help keep your blood sugar level stable http://www.glycemicindex.com/

Stay away from ALL sweets and sugars and eat healthy foods and snacks. If you eat any sweets, there could be a chance of you going into the hospital. Also, eat meals at regular times. If you skip meals, that could be hazardous, too.
Go to http://www.wikipedia.org/Diabetes for more info.

Monitor what foods you eat, monitor your BP and weight, and keep taking the insulin.

Keep ur cholestrol under control.
Never eat fatty foods (those that have oil/cheese/butter/ghee)
Dont lose hope. There are millions like you.
