What can I do to bring down the blood sugar count with diabetes.?

My blood sugar count is over 200, what can I do to bring it down quickly?

If you're a type two, there's nothing better than a good workout. For more tips on type two, check this out: http://www.geocities.com/seabulls69/Type...

Hold down your carb intake and yes exercise does help as well. Everyones sugar goes up and down it all depends on if you have had anything to eat or drink before you take your sugar count. It is best not to check your count until at least 2 hours after you eat or drink anything with carbs. The 200 isn't that bad if you just ate something. It takes time for your body to break down the sugar in everything. I use peanuts believe it or not. As a matter of fact protein will help to bring it down.

200 is not a critical value, other factors are,is this the value before or after you have eaten, how long since you last ate, what did you eat, do you take medications, etc....unless your blood sugar is critical, it is not wise to try and bring it down quickly, you risk making it to low and also effects of the sudden drop. Carefully monitor your blood sugars, get plenty of exercise, and eat a healthy diet.

Exercise anywhere from 1 to 3 hours after eating and then check your sugar level when done. Sugars peak at one hour after eating and level off at three hours. Have you gone to diabetes education classes? If not I recomment asking your doctor to refer you to them. They go by your weight, how active your are, how much diabetes meds you're on and figure out an idividual meal plan for you. I lost 116 pounds this way and have kept it off 8 years.

exercise is awesome! You have to be careful during your workout and monitor your blood sugar to assure it does not get dangerously low. Muscles incenerate sugar during lifting exercises.

I don't know about quickly but cinnammin on everything possible and about 2 tbsp walnuts, almonds after meals.

there is many different ways try http://www.easydiabeticcookingrecipes.co... it helped my friends out
