Why does hemorrhoid ointment contain warnings for people with diabetes?

I was wondering if this could be a reason for my rising blood sugar?

The warning on hemorrhoid treatment is for the same reason you are using it : To cover their butt.

There are a lot of things that interreact with diabetes. The reason for the warnings is that we are likely to have severe infections rather than minor ones, and we need to consult our doctors on everything.

It isn't only the hemorrhoid ointments, it is wart medicines, cough medicines, cold medicines, anything and everything requires a warning ot diabetics to consult their doctors before using anything.

I am just surprised that the average foot cream, hand cream, face lotion, makeups, etc don't also have a warning on them to consult your physician before using if you are a diabetic.

Probably because it works by constricting the arteries to that area, so if you have any arterial damage from diabetes, constricting them further can make it worse. The same goes for cold medicines. As long as you get good health reviews from the doc and your blood pressure is low, these meds are fine to use.
