What do these symptoms sound like? Diabetes or leukemia?

I am an 18 year old female. I am slightly overweight (about 15 pounds).
Every day, 2-3 bruises show up mysteriously.They are about half an inch in diameter and are painful.
It seems like after every meal, I feel sick. Im not sure if i have fever, but I feel just ughhh.
I am constantly tired, and have lost about 5-7 pounds somehow, without diet or exercise.
I also have a big bruise on my leg that has been there since feb. and i also dont know where that one came from. I read that itchiness and irritability are a symptom of diabetes, and i have both of those.
i feel like i can never get enough sleep.
my pain tolerance has gone down really low, it seems like any little thing hurts really bad.
i feel tired and like crap every time i eat...and its starting to annoy me.
I have a dr. appt. on friday...
does anyone know what this might be?

ive also heard that bone pain is a symptom of leukemia. about a week ago, my right hand started huring TERRIBLY. all i was doing was typing, and the pain slowly got worse and worse until i couldnt bend my wrist. it literally felt like i broke my wrist. it lasted about 3-4 hours. this could be a problem too.

I am a paramedic and deal with diabetics all the time. Your description is not typical of new onset diabetics. With out knowing more I could not pinpoint the diagnosis. I dont think it is leukemia either unless you have a family history of it. You really need your Dr to give you diagnosis. It could also be a blood disorder.

Good luck.

Do you have night sweats? Fever, chills, symptoms of flu? Do your gums bleed easily? You should get some lab work done. Good luck, God Bless!

Nothing you described would indicate diabetes.

Some symptoms of leukemia are:

* Fevers or night sweats

* Frequent infections

* Feeling weak or tired

* Headache

* Bleeding and bruising easily (bleeding gums, purplish patches in the skin, or tiny red spots under the skin)

* Pain in the bones or joints

* Swelling or discomfort in the abdomen (from an enlarged spleen)

* Swollen lymph nodes, especially in the neck or armpit

* Weight loss

However, let's not just jump to the conclusion that you have leukemia right off the bat. As we say in the medical profession: When you hear thundering hooves, think horses, not zebras. There are other possibilities more likely than leukemia. Wait to see what your doctor uncovers. Don't waste any more time worrying about something that may never be.
