Does diabetes cause this? (WARNING: PICTURE)?

http://www.myfootshop.com/images/medical...

No probably not. But, if your feet look like the photos I would start soaking them and using a moisturizer. Thick callouses can be painful. Use a pumice stone to file off all the dead skin. If it was diabetes your feet would always be cold and discolored due to poor circulation. Those photos look like bad callouses.

For sure that's nothing in comparison with complication well known with diabetus :]

I don't think that diabetes caused that, I think poor foot care caused that. As for the diabetes.... FOOT CARE CANNOT BE COMPROMISED!!!!!!!! It is ever so important. So ask your doc what you could be doing. It could be as simple as a foot soak and some pumice. Do not let it open any more if you are a diabetic....it will only get worse. Take care of yourself.

Yes, the build up of skin is not good. You need to get better supporting shoes or inserts. Just like the picture you need to reduce the build up.

I walk a lot for exercise and I use inserts which work well.

Best Wishes.

YES IT CAN BE BUT BETTER CONSULY YOUR DIABETIC EXPERT AND SOME DERMATOLOGIST

I don't think so. You get more of a wound or open sore. This looks like severe dried skin. Please keep up with your doctors appointments.

Good luck and take care.

maybe if u have not enough blood flow to your feet or if you stepped on something that got infected you should ALWAYS protect your feet.. kk GOD BLESS YOU

go see a doctor and get a scan and everything
u can never be too sure.
good luck

no i dont think so, but you really need to see a doctor right away
