I have Type 1 Diabetes and...?

I have type 1 diabetes and 6 weeks later im getting some of the Symptoms back. such as...

-feeling sick,
-Drinking water a little more then i use to

thats all atm but i dont know is that normal?
i think im still going thorough the honey moon stage
so yeah.

Ive had type 1 diabetes for 6 years now my doctor told me I'm just leaving my honeymoon stage

my point is: the honeymoon stage could last from 2 months to 8 years so its normal to feel those symptoms

You are in your early periods of management. So yes this can be considered your "honeymoon stage" of rebounding from lows and shooting down from high blood sugar levels. This is were insulin dosages can be trial and error if you are insulins such as lantus (dosage can be based on body wieght) and humalog. Also this is your pre-stage of diabetes taking control of your body. Your body is used to being in somewhat equilibrium before onset diabetes fully begins. And if you are drinking more water and feeling sick im assuming this is from high blood sugar levels which you need to maintain by checking your sugars 4-8 times a day, and giving the appropriate amount of insulin specified by your doctor via sliding scale or carbohydrate counting. Good Luck

Are you checking your blood sugar? You should be checking your blood sugar consistently throughout the day, particularly when you feel sick or weird. Eventually you will be able to recognize the signs of high and low blood sugar. You should work out with your doctor how to treat yourself when your sugar is too low or too high.

its been almost 32 years since i was in the honeymoon stag of type 1 but if i remember my b.s where all over the place until i got insulin and food figured and adjusted correctly right now i just got on lantus and humalog pens its great
