Do I have Type 2 Diabetes? |
I have to pee a lot, and drink.I don't know if I'm over weight or not,I'm only 12 and I guess I weigh around 110-115. Peeing lots,drinking lots, still feeling hungry no matter how much you eat and feeling tired all the time are the main symptoms of diabetes. The only way to truly know is to ask a doctor, however, at that age and weight your are not overweight, so most likely its going to be a no. I think you should look up the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. You get them for to completely different reasons. You don't have to be overweight to get type 2 diabetes. If you drink a lot, that could be why you pee a lot. Look up the symptoms of diabetes and tell your parents if you have any more of the symptoms. My mom is a diabetic educator and a nurse. I agree with your parents- your a growing boy! Now if you have night sweats, lightheadedness, vision blur or feel sickly after eating sugar--maybe you need to get checked out. ask your doctor, especially since you are twelve and drinking Check your blood sugar, it takes a minute. |
