Do anyone on here has diabetes?

i was wondering if you have it do u some times feel depressed and like noone understands you

Yes, my husband and I both have type two diabetes.

It is a well known fact that people with diabetes are more prone to suffer from depression. I think it is just dealing with everything that one must do to keep blood glucose under control and knowing that you need to stay on a diet, not being able to eat sometimes the things you really want.

Everyone is different and have different diets. Our dietitian said that we could have a small amount of sugar, such as 11/2 planks of graham crackers, or six vanilla wafers as long as we count them in our carbohydrate diet.

People that don't have diabetes means well, but they can be very cruel. Example, my Pastor walked up one day when we were having lunch at church and saw a single cookie ( 1 small cookie is allowed ) on my plate. He exclaimed, " you don't need that!"
I really wanted to tell him what I had on my plate was none of his business! But I held my tongue.

ive had type 1 diabetes since i was 10 months old. its a part of life for me really, i guess. and i know i have to control it and stuff otherwise there is bad complications but sometimes it annoys me that it can be restrictive and i hate having to always watch the foods i eat and carb count etc etc. it drives me insane sometimes. but sometimes i know its a good thing cause its easier to eat healthy in some ways because you have to. and then when i go to the clinics, i get scared cause they figure out i dont always do my bsls and skip insulin injections.

its good to know im not the only one i suppose :)
