Diabetes and brain. can it get better?

how does diabetes affect the brain if a person isnt looking after themself, and can their brain funtion get better if they then try to help themself?

the person i am talking about seems to be mentally affected. I was wondering if it could be from not looking after themselves for a few years until I met them and started looking after them as much as I am able and they cooperate.

One thing I have learned about diabetes is that it doesn't discriminate against any part of your body. It can and will effect your Nervous system, your circulatory system, your digestive system....and all your other systems.....
Some functions can "repair" themselves when diabetes is under control, while others will not. The nerves in your feet may begin to have feelings again, whereas if you have caused yourself to go blind, your body can not "fix" that so you wouldn't regain your sight. Your digestive system may go out of whack, and after a period of time can repair itself.
It also depends on how much time is spent NOT taking care of yourself too. An issue like ED for men, if not address can lead to that problem being permanent...
So take care of yourself.

Both low and high blood sugars cause minor brain damage such as, damaging of the brain cells. Although this is minor, constant fluxuations between high and low blood sugar will cause the damage to be more severe.

It's better to not worry about what is happening to your brain, rather concentrate on stablizing your(or the persons) blood sugar.

Diabetics can affect the organs and the eye blood vessels, causing them to pop, and you can also go blind, it tells the brain to damage your internal organs, because it isn't producing enough insulin to keep you alive.

Please go through this guide if you have time.It gives everything a diabetic patient wants:cure,confidence,sweet...
