If this is above normal, the doctor will probably order a 2 hour PC blood test where you go without eating after midnight; they give you a very high sugar orange drink and then check a blood sugar every 15 -30 minutes to see how long it takes for your blood sugar level to come down.

I suggest that you ask for 2 tests:

a Glucose Tolerance Test.

Between these two tests, they should know if you have diabetes or if you are on your way to getting it.

No. You have to ask for a "blood glucose test". This will test the amount of sugar in your blood and how it is metabolizing.

It depens on what your blood sugar is.If it is high then yes.If you are nomal then no.
