My first symptom of Diabetes was actually a feeling of hypoglycemia, I was getting shaky and sweaty feelings, afew hours after eating. I didn't really notice the severe thirst because I usually already drank alot. Soda, the worst. my one doc checked my A1C and it came back normal, I found later it was on the high sideof normal. He said to just try o eat at regular times. when I changed docs due to insurance and told the new doc she had my A1C checked and the 2 hr glucose test it was confirmed. The one thing, when my father first noticed symptoms of diabetes, was drinking TONS of water. He couldn't stay hydrated. He was drinking about two gallons of water a day. Of course, he was so far advanced, he ended up in the hospital. In hindsight he knew something was wrong since he was constantly thirsty. (This is only personal experience, if you're worried please get tested, your parents will be so thankful in the long run.) going to the toilet all the time and continued thirst |
