Water and diabetes?

The consumption of too much sugar and too much fat will lead to diabetes. This is when the sugar will corrode your kidney and damage it.

However, if you were to take some sugar and after that, immediately take a lot of water, will the water help to dilute the sugar so that the sugar entering the kidney will be diluted? Will this reduce the risk of damage to the kidney?

Sugar will still enter the kidney, but in reduced quantities at every moment of time.

Drinking at least eight glasses of watersa day is good for a normal person.

But if you are suffering from any sort of kidney problem that might me putting load on your Kidneys as they are working as a filter. Ask your Doctor.

Sugar is absorbed through the blood. Water only dilutes sugar a little bit.

Damage to kidneys occurs after years of high blood sugar levels. This does not happen overnight. Neuropathy and retinopathy are extremely more common and occur more quickly than kidney failure.

Water will not dilute any sugar rather drinking too much water, will imbalance the electrolytes and you can go into a coma from sodium deficiency.

Kidneys are only one organ that's affected by diabetes. Sugar is absorbed through the blood. Water only dilutes sugar a little bit. You'd probably drown first.

The pancreas is the organ that primarily is afflicted from diabetes. When a person is type I, the pancreas Does not create insulin. When a person is type 2, that person's constant bad health and eating habits makes the pancreas shut down, it's called insulin intolerance. The pancreas creates insulin but the blood rejects it.

Damage to kidneys occurs after years of high blood sugar levels. This does not happen overnight. Neuropathy and retinopathy are extremely more common and occur more quickly than kidney failure.

Water will not dilute any sugar enough to enjoy ice cream without the ramifications. And even if you could drink that much water, your electrolytes will become imbalanced and you can go into a coma from sodium deficiency.

Just Askin !
The kidneys function to remove excess salt and water and the waste chemicals made by the body. They work a little bit like a strainer鈥攁llowing salt, water, small pro颅teins, and various chemicals (but not the large proteins and blood cells) to pass through into the kidney tubules. Later, many of these 铿乴tered chemicals as well as small proteins, salt, and water that the body still needs are reabsorbed by the kidney tubules, leaving behind the excess salt, water, and waste chemicals to form the urine.
So only drinking more water will not really work. For more info

UR concept of development of diabetes is totally wrong. The kidneys r damaged in diabetics not because the suger u take goes in the kidneys directly. In fact, whatever u eat, does not go to the organs directly except, ofcourse, the stomach.
2 much consumtion of suger results in obesity/being overweight which is one of the predisposing factors 4 developing diabetes. Once diabetes is developed & goes on 4 sometime, it damages a # of organs including kidneys.

ehm....just make your kidney work very hard....avoit to eat sugar too much.....help yourself from diabetes....

The best thing to do is not to consume that much sugar in the first place.

Maybe but it won't reduce the damage to other organs in the body caused by the excess glucose levels.
