Our diet now consists of 70% genetically modified foods. Good or Bad? Diabetes, obesity, tooth decay, autisium,?

asthma, allergies, digestive problems have all grown to epidemic size in the last 10 to 18 years when GMO foods came on the market. What do you think?

I think it's definitely related- but I'll go one step farther - I blame food dyes. Red # 5 was proven to cause ADHD. So, why use it? It's a freaking dye! We'll eat Cheez Doodles white - or better yet - the color of corn. LOL

One exception to all those condtions
Type I Juvenile Diabetes (diabetes mellitus) - it's only acquired is you have the gene for it, where as Type II is acquired from poor eating habits over years (and other factors).

They think that a person actually becomes Type I diabetic from a genetic and an environmental factor ( that's why not all diabetics are born diabetic). However, they don't know exactly what factors in the enviroment cause it to happen, although it's thought to be from infection, not food.

Otherwise, I agree with you.

The increase in tooth decay is supposed to be attributed to drinking more bottled water and less tap water - go figure!

There are all kinds of things that have increased in the last 10-20 years that you could make similar accusations of: cell phones, computers, massive portions of food, new pesticides, etc.

There is no reason to believe that GMO foods are harmful...you are just creeped out at the idea!

Autism is a mystery, but there is growing evidence that it has to do with increased attention to it and more common diagnosis as much as anything else. There are no credible ties to vaccinations, GMO foods or anything of that nature.

Me and my children are healthy, I still think Autism has to do with vaccinations. Diabetes 2 is caused by obesity. The only way to gain weight is to eat too much. Tooth decay, well some teeth problems are inherited, and some are caused by lack of hygiene. I find that older people actually lost their teeth a lot earlier than people of today.

Bad, in my estimation.

Mr. Peachy (top contributor in this category) was suspended for ranting... just like you are doing here. I'd be very careful, if I were you.
