Marginal Placenta Previa & Gestational Diabetes?

Has anyone ever had Marginal Previa and Gestational Diabetes together?
What are too low and high sugar level?
Is it common to have the baby early?

I'm 21 weeks along and I have a low-lying placenta - I don't think they go as far as calling it placenta previa at 21 weeks because the placenta still has time to move up. My understanding is that it has nothing to do with diabetes, although I am a type 2 diabetic.

For GD, they often induce you at 38 or 39 weeks so in that sense it's common to have your baby early - but not that the baby comes early.

I'm not an expert on the placenta previa but the way I understand it, the worry is that if it's blocking the cervix it can interfere with regular vaginal delivery, so you may be required to have a c-section.

About blood sugars: in pregnancy, you need to hit different targets than a regular diabetic. You should be keeping your numbers to:

- under 100 first thing in the morning (some docs say under 90)
- under 130 1 hour after eating

multi-si !
A normal fasting blood sugar result is lower than 100 milligrams of glucose per deciliter of blood (mg/dL).
A normal random blood sugar level hasn't been clearly defined. However, even if you've recently eaten and your blood sugar level is at its peak, your random blood sugar level shouldn't be higher than 200 mg/dL.
Marginal Placenta previa yes the chances are to have an bremature baby, but as it is marginally detatched you can complete the full term as well.
Think good, eat healthy, and be happy to have a nice baby
