I think i may have diabetes but not sure?

I wake up so thirsty plus have to go wee wee at least three to four times a night. It feels like I have ate nothing but salt all day to be and feel so thristy. I am native american indian so I know i have a higher rate of having diabetes. my dad had dibetes plus his two sisters died of this disease. what does it feel like when you have this diabetes? Does it feel like you ate tons of salt to be so thirsty or what?

There are many many symptoms if you think you have the onset of Diabetes you should to go to your Doctor to be tested. In view of your family history I cant believe that you are not being screened. Good luck.

I'm a diabetic and here are the most common symptoms:
dehydration (ive had diabetes for along time and ive never figured out why no matter how much I drank i couldnt be satisfied)
frequent urination
neasuea
constipation
weight gain or weight loss
head aches
shaking
blurred vision
fainting
vommiting
strange feeling in legs or feet
hot and cold flashes
feeling sick or odd before and after meals

Try drinking plenty of water and non sugary clear liquids, and see a doctor as soon as possible. Theres a higher risk of being diabetic if it runs in the family that you may have it.

You will be very very thirsty, like drinking up to 40 bottles of water a day if it is really bad. You will also drop weight very fast. There is absolutly a big chance you have it. Id go see your doctor as soon as possible.

as the smartest monkeys, our gut instinct is correct more often than not. get thee to a pharmacy or clinic and have your blood sugar tested. it's super quick, super easy, and it may save your life. i wish you well, but as they say... "wishes in one hand..."

With your family history, you just don't have an option. You need to go to the doctor, Urgent Care, or local health dept. ASAP.

GO to a Doctor. Answers on Yahoo can kill you if you don't get real medical advice FROM a Doctor.
