Diabetes and morning workout questions?

If I work out everymorning, but have to eat first to mantain good blood sugar level.(Mild form) Does that defeat the whole purpose of burning cals before you eat to burn off fat?

R there any of you who r diabetic and able to workout before eating ? ?

I've worked out before, during, and after eating. The best results seem to be eating a banana and some nuts a half hour before. (about 250 calories). I've gone on some rather intense six mile hikes in the mountains afterward with no ill affects. It doesn't defeat the purpose at all. As long as you're using the calories you take in, plus a few extra, you won't have any problem losing the fat.... especially if you take in some green tea prior to the workout. If you adopt the Fuhrman plan, you will lose the fat in a hurry. In fact, you could end up like me and not even have to take any medication for the disease. See my profile for more.

1. Severely limit your carb level, taking only from the low glycemic range.

2. Don't load your metabolism to the eye balls first thing in the morning, stick to protein and veg and nuts of the low carb kind.

3. Do not eat any carbs once you finnish work, since your body will be much less efficient once it becomes less active.

I am a diabetic. :) and I can't exactly work out B4 eating but i would at least make sure you eat something that makes ur blood sugar 150-240. it works awesomely for me. You can eat something light such as a banana or apple. There is no defeat in that...especially since fruit is healthy and you burn the cals or fat from your overall body not just from your last meal. I hope I helped!

eat protien nota lot of carbs before.here is a site where others have same question .karen 1976 makes good points
