Is it possible to get diabetes because you got mad? |
Is it possible to get diabetes because you got mad? While it's possible that stress (both physical and mental) is the root cause of many disorders, it is extremely unlikely that simply getting mad would cause diabetes. I've never heard of a case of this in 30 years of nursing. Diabetes is generally thought to be inherited. The stress on a woman's body during pregnancy (in combination with other factors) can sometimes bring about a type of diabetes. Another theory involves long time exposure to certain viruses which can attack the pancreas. A common falacy is that eating too much sugar causes diabetes -- it actually just brings to light a disease that already existed. No! Diabetes is caused either from an inability of the pancreas to produce insulin (such as in Type 1 Insulin Dependent Diabetes) or when the pancreas has been overworked and no longer produces enough insulin (such as in Type 2 non-insulin dependent diabetes). Ending up with diabetes has nothing to do with anger or emotions. It is completely physical. Not eating healthy and a lack of exercise contribute to getting diabetes. did you mean because you are stessed alot? short answer is NO!! Yes. They teach you that in anger management class. It's a great deterrent. yes. keep smiling or the diabetes will see. Wow, you must be realllllyyyyyy angry..... Ive never heard that one but the short answer is no. um no |
