Do i have diabetes?? help my mum thinks it is all in my head.

Ok so here is whats been going on
Wake up 2-3 times a night to get a drink and go to the toilet(i never use to do this)

I drink about 4-6 drink bottles of cordial A DAY im not thirsty for water its always Rasberry Cordial and its gotta be sweet *i no badd*

I have been feeling abit dizzy after i eat and if i dont eat i lose concentration and cant focus in class.

I have been having a burning sensation happening in the palm of my hands -*just started today*

I have been having blurry vision every now and then.

My pee turned crystal clear but now it has a bit of colour



Since the begining of last week i have been urinating soo muchh, i never use to go to the toilet at school would always wait til i get home, and i would never go to the toilet at work when i work 5 hours, but since last week i have been going to the toilet about 3-4 times. during work and 3-4 times during school and also i have started waking up between 2-4 times a night to get a drink or rasberry cordial and going to the toilet.

My mum thinks that its all in my head, but i think i might have diabetes or somethinggg. i dont know what to do. does this sound liek type 1 diabetes???

oh and plus my cousin has type 1 diabetes and my mum is .5 off of having diabetes

how old are you? Age is important to determine diabetes...

Better have a test of your blood glucose

The cardinal symptoms of diabetes are:

1. Severe Thirst
2. Frequent Urination
3. Insatiable Hunger

and if you are younger than 30 years old... it is type 1 DM (Diabetes)

It sounds like something is up. Your symptoms do coincide with the common symptoms for diabetes. Acording to the American Diabetes Association, the most common symptoms for diabetes are frequent urination, excessive thirst, extreme hunger, unusual weight loss, increased fatigue, irritability and blurry vision. You should see your doctor just to be on the safe side. There's nothing wrong with checking to be safe.

I agree with TinyMe . . . something's up. It may very well be Diabetes, it may be something else. But you need to find out, and the sooner the better. Talk to your school nurse if your Mom won't bring you to the Doctor.

you can make home glucose test if it is more than 200 random then you may have fdiabetes
or urine sugar test

Check your blood sugar, it takes a minute.

I agree with those who have said that your symptoms do fit in with the symptoms of diabetes, and it would be wise to be tested.

But I have to disagree with "littlemy" who says that age is significant, and that if you are under 30 and have diabetes, then it is Type 1.

That is not necessarily true. More and more teenagers are being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes these days. And adults over 30 can be diagnosed with Type 1 (usually called "LADA", or "Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults".)
