.......Diabetes?? Whats wrong with me? |
Today during practice I blacked out. I couldn't see anything and i felt dizzy like i was gonna pass out...I got a severe headache and i grew very weak and tired. This happened a couple times at practice. And as it happened people said i was ghostly white. Also can you tell me why ive been paranoid and hallucinating... I've never done drugs in my life...and paranormal stuff happens alot...but not lately.. It appears you had a hypoglycemic episode....What you need to find out now is WHY, I would speculate that your training program was intensive and caused your blood sugars to drop to abnormal levels causing you to pass out, if that's the case then you need to eat some carbs. prior to your training session to help them maintain stability. During any physical activity you must make sure that you are taking in enough fluids. Sports drinks as well as water are ideal as they also replace the sugars lost thus alleviating the problem of low blood sugar. You must also maintain a healthy diet..plenty of fruit and vegetables are a good start. Your Doctor will need to do some blood tests and it would be a good idea to ask him about seeing a dietitian who can help you with a diet of the proper foods needed for your levels of activity. Diabetes is caused my the pancreas not being able to breakdown sugars, this in turn leads to high levels of sugar so I doubt that this is your problem. It really sounds like poor nutrietion and lack of fluid is causing your problems but you must get to see your Doctor so that any major problems can be ruled out. you had a hypoglycemic episode, NOT diabetes. Not eating a balanced diet to fuel your body will do that to you, and not drinking two liters of water daily will also do that to you, don't you learn anything in school anymore? Don't they teach nutrition in science or home ec? Do you pay attention? Seriously, you damage yourself, and pay the scary consequences when you don't eat and drink adequately to keep yourself alive. Wise up kiddo, learn about your body and the need for hydration and nutrition, you are young now, but the damage you do now you pay for when you are older. It has nothing to do with Diabetes. It has to do with exactly what they told you. You have to drink enough fluids, especially if you are into sports, you have to drink extra. And, eat enough food. If you don't your blood sugar can drop, and you will get dizzy and pass out. my best friend has diabetes. you don't if you did you would be drinking A TONNN of water and you would be peeing like there was not tomorrow. you were probably dehydrated and had low blood sugar which means you need to eat something to get something in your system because your body needs some sugar to function correctly. Get a medical exam including blood work done. That should answer your question. hypoglaucimia |
