"Type 2 Diabetes can go away, ... although being overweight has been closely connected with it in the case of Type 2.

I hope this helps, its a pretty complicated condition and people have to be very knowledgeable of the condition in order to take care of themselves"

Type 2 diabetes will not go away, it can be controlled with diet and exercise if caught early enough or with the addition of medication.
"If being overweight was that closely connected why does only 18 % of obese Americans have Type 2 and how come all the skinny diabetics with Type 2? Type 2 comes from 2 basic sources, genetic or drug induced (legal mostly).

Diabetes is a condition brought about by the decreased insulin production or the inability of of the body's cells to use insulin properly.

So...I'm gonna try and put this in really easy terms, although there's alot to talk about.

Glucose, which is a sugar, is your body's basic source of energy.
When you eat something, the sugars you eat are converted to glucose, and then the bloodstream soaks it up.

In order for the sugar to be sucked into the bloodstream, there's a chemical called "insulin" made in an organ in your body called the pacreas, which acts like a lock and key.

Insulin is the key. Without it, glucose is "locked" out of the cells.
When insulin and glucose are balanced in the body, your body can use the glucose as energy.

In people with Diabetes, the insulin production is decreased and instead of going into the bloodstream, the glucose just kinda chills everywhere and increases the chance that they have to pee, and then they become really thirsty.

In hyperglycemia, (hyper-meaning high, and glyc-meaning sugar), the person has high blood sugar concentration. The way to treat this is by the person taking insulin in regular doses.

In hypoglycemia (hypo-meaning low, and glyc-meaning sugar), the person has a low blood sugar and this can be caused by a few things-the person taking too much insulin, the person not eating and getting ANY sugar into their system, over-excercising, or if they throw up a meal.

Type 2 Diabetes can go away, but once you are diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, you have to live with it your whole life. They won't go away in type one because there is usually a problem with the persons pancreas. There's no real specific reason certain people get it, although being overweight has been closely connected with it in the case of Type 2.

I hope this helps, its a pretty complicated condition and people have to be very knowledgeable of the condition in order to take care of themselves...If you have any questions you can email me!

Diabetes mellitus (DM) refers to a group of common disorders that is characterized by increased blood glucose levels-hyperglycemia. Several types of diabetes exist and are caused by interaction of genetics and environmental factors. Insulin, a hormone is secreted by a gland in the body called pancreas.

Factors contributing to diabetes.

Reduced insulin secretion
Decreased glucose utilization
Increased glucose production

The warning signs of Diabetes

Excessive thirst
Frequent urination
Hunger
Unexplained weight loss or gain
Flu like symptoms, including weakness and fatigue
Blurred vision Irritability
Slow-healing cuts or bruises
Tingling or loss of feeling in hands or feet
Recurring infections of gum or skin
Recurring vaginal or bladder infections

Because type 1 diabetes generally occurs more suddenly and severely, it鈥檚 usually diagnosed within a few months. People with type 2 diabetes, however, have the disease an average of 8 years before it鈥檚 diagnosed. Regular visits to your doctor that include a complete blood workup can help prevent the disease from going undetected for so long.
Since body does not produce insulin it has to supplemented in Type1 diabetes. In Type2 diabetes initially tablets which can squeeze the pancreas to synthesise insulin can be used .But later they also has to be given insulin.

Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. The cause of diabetes continues to be a mystery, although both genetics and environmental factors such as obesity and lack of exercise appear to play roles.

When your diabetic your pancreas dosent make insulin so you have to take insulin shots.
NON-DIABETIC pancreas's make insulin and the sugar you eat balances out with the insulin.

Example: If you eat a cookie, your pancreas lets out just enough insulin to cover the sugar in the cookie
but since your diabetic you have to take a shot for the cookie.

its when your pancrease stops working and it cant control blood sugar levels it doesnt go away cause ur pancrease is a organ and if ur kidney or somethin stopped working would it be able to just start working

if someone have high blood glucose more than normal cause damage pancreas or resistencyinsulin...see more detail http://www.diabetes.fat-site.com
