Help me and find out if i have diabetes

my mom had diabetes when she had me. yesturday i hit my knee on the bench and my right foot side of my feet feels numb is it because of diabetes or is it cause i got hurt some how? help i m scared!!

We need more information ..... what are your risk factors? Are you overweight ..... do you have a big belly? Do you exercise and eat healthy? What you are describing is actually very "late" symptoms of diabetes and I think you would already know that you have it. It's good that you are very aware of your health but use this knowledge to your power. Hitting your foot and it being numb is not sign of diabetes so calm down. It usually feels numb when motion stops with diabetes - called "neuropathy" but this is very late signs of diabetes. Is this something your mother scares you with? Consult with your doctor and stay ahead with your health and understand how to prevent diabetes.

Most likely, a nerve was "insulted" when you hit the knee and the symptom is usual.

With a family history of Diabetes, you should be tested annually by physician.

the symptoms of it are

frequent urination

excessive thirst

unusual weight loss

increased fatigue

irritability

blurred vision

so if u have any of that go to ur doctor immediately my mom told all of this to me she's a nurse and my brother has type one diabetes

Dude,chill out...Just because your mom had it, does not mean you will.
Go have you foot checked out ..do blood work to easy your mind..

dry mouth
double or blurred vision
hard to heal wounds
spike type headaches

have your Dr check you out if you have multiple of these symptoms

GO TO THE DOCTOR WE ARE NOT DOCTORS AND IF ONE OF YOU ARE HELP HIM only a doctor can tell you if your a diabetic or not
