Can diabetes cause body pain?i hurt all the time...

is there anything for the pain?over the counter meds dont help at all.........please help...thanks

Yes it can. Particularly abdominal discomfort, and leg pain. You should be excersizing for at leat 15 to 20 minutes twice a day. walking is the best because it maintains the very long muscles and blood vessels where you pain most likely begins, and it increases sugar metabolism as well.

Also, you have to measure your Blood glucose a minimum of 3 times a day and you must keep it between 90 and 120 at all times. The more you control your blood sugar levels, the less pain you will have. I speak from experience of 17 years dealing with it.

Yes it can cause all different kinds of pain and discomfort, especially if your disease is not under good control. Unfortunately, most over the counter drugs don't do much. Aspirin and tylenol can help some body aches, but you need a prescription drug like Lyrica or Cymbalta to help with diabetic neuropathy in the legs, feet and other extremities.. However, most of these have some nasty side effects like weight gain and drowsiness just to name a few. Having diabetes can also cause depression, and depression can have it's own set of body aches and pains. Talk to your doctor about it..

Pain, unfortunately, goes hand in hand with diabetes. My doctor prescribed Ultram for me. It doesn't do damage to the organs and it takes the edge off pain. It takes a day or two before you realize the pain isn't so bad. Hope this helps.

i herd that it might

and wow now im scared because i have leg pain all the time for the past maybe 4 years its always on my right leg and now its been going to my left leg
its a werid pain like growing pains but im not growing any more

It can to some extent. But, it sounds more like fibromyalgia. The fix is to strive for excellent health with a nutritious, natural foods based diet and plenty of mild, daily exercise.

How's your blood pressure? A lot of people dealing with diabetes have crazy bp and don't even realize it b/c of the other symptoms. Also, glucosamine can sometimes help body pains.
