HELP? My dog has recently been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and I can't get him to eat this AM, my ? is... |
What do I do about giving him his insulin? Will it hurt to wait until he eats,because he acts like his sugar is low and I don't want to drop it more. I am seeing a new Vet Monday morning because mine is not very helpful so suggesting a vet won't work right now. Anything you can tell me about your experiances would be appreciated. Unless you have some way to test his blood sugar and adjust his insulin accordingly, you'd be better off not giving him his insulin. It is better for his sugar to be too high than too low. You DO need to call the vet! |
