Women with gestational diabetes...?

How do you feel? I was told I may have gestational diabetes, and I was wondering if that's why I feel so crappy when I'm hungry and after I eat. Even after a filling meal, I feel weak and wiped out, sometimes sick to my stomach or just a general yucky feeling. Do you think this is related? Or coincidence. Thanks!

You may want to look into a low carb diet. I had gd and now T2. Your bs is going high and then low after a meal with a lot of carbs. If you are taking insulin you may need to adjust the amount and cut way, way back on any bread potatoes, pancakes, pasta rice, muffins, cakes. ANYTHING starchy or sweet. Also not juice or soda. If you cut these you will find a bit of a boost in energy, then again, it's draining, making another human being.

The good new is that you should eat a bit more protein and even fat, butter is the new health food, avocado, olives, olive oil. Eggs too are very good for you. You definitely need protein when baby making.

It could be related. Read up on the symptoms of gestational diabetes and see if it sounds like you.

You're going to need some simple blood sugar tests to figure it out for sure.
