Any is fine as long as you don't overdue it. I wouldn't even consume 60ml if it were me.

Alcohol can really drop your glucose levels in a hurry so keep a close check on it... if you decide to drink !!!

the fruitcake who says you are too young to get diabetes needs more education.

the nurse who says see your doctor is living in the past when doctors were actually the experts in health care.

the person who says that any alcohol will kill you is out of their gourd.

Yes, you can have a drink if female or 2 if male. Yes, it does cause sudden plunge in glucose numbers if you don't eat while drinking alcoholic beverages.

It doesn't matter much what sort of alcoholic beverage you have as long as it isn't one of the syrupy mixes! Those will cause rise in glucose to way over the moon.

I like my glass of wine with dinner most days! On really hot summer days I like a glass of beer too. But I am very careful to check my glucose levels before and after consumption to make sure I am staying in the relatively normal ranges.

Diabetics CAN drink alcohol you just have to be aware that it can cause your blood sugar levels to fall. So when you first start drinking test your levels until you learn how much they are affected by the alcohol and take steps to remedy this. If you are on insulin you may have to adjust your dose slightly.

alcohol is not a good idea for diabetics at all.... it can cause sudden very low drops in blood sugar and has been known to kill those with brittle or unstable blood sugar control.
I would suggest this is a question you must ask your doctor, he knows what your level of control is by your lab values and he can best advise you on what would be safe for you to consume.

Miz Lamb you are so right, I'm type two diabetic and drinking will get you. Usually at the time you drink you don't know where your sugar is. Before I had diabetes My friend who did.usually screwed it up and I ended up taking him to the hospital to get stabilized. You won't catch me drinking but some have to learn the hard way. You better not have a attack of some kind if they think your drunk and misdiagnose your problem. Your life do what you want,

All are ok. No big deal! everyone is different. Just watch if you tend to go Hypoglycemic. I do 6 beers a day. I usually eat a handful of peanuts while drinking.

Sure - if you really want to die! Alcohol is a "no-no" for diabetics - I'd learn to drink herbal teas/green tea/white tea if I was you.

why dont u opt for energy medicine like bio magnetic bracelet , its really great for your case just check www.eamega.com or mail me magic_cure28@yahoo.com

BRANDY IS NOT HARMFUL FOR DIABETIC

60 ml of any kind cannot harm you. but take only 5 days a week.
You are too young to get the diabetes, it sounds that you are not having systematic lifestyle. so improve the quality of life by taking balanced diet, low fat food and regular exercise.
