Hey,is sugar free candy good for type 2 diabetes? Can you tell I'm new to this:}? Beware of ingredients called "sugar alcohols" which are found in many diabetic products like glucerna. They can give you diarrhea or flatulence. No candy is "good" for you. What is good for you is lots of fresh vegetables, keeping your weight down, and lots of exercise. Be aware, sugar free food in excess will give you horrible diarrhea. i tried sugar free candy and i saw russell stowe's candy has printed on the back that it may rise a bit sugar levels. see the labels and back and make sure it doesn't mention this. there's sugar free chocolate that's for low carb,sugar free that does this as well. i appeared diabetic at one point, but i'm not diabetic.
