What infections cause short term hyperglycemia in patients without diabetes?

What infections cause short term hyperglycemia in patients without diabetes?

Most of them can.

Almost any inflammation or stressor in your body (infection, surgery, etc) can cause temporary hyperglycemia.

That doesn't mean you should get too crazy with your hypoglycemic medications if you have a cold. But do watch your sugars.
