What's the name for a doctor who specializes in diabetes?

Is it just a general practitioner, or is there a specific name for it? A diabete-ist? If someone can help me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Endocrinologist - because the pancreas is a part of our endocrine system.

Usually an Internal Medicine physician will be a good doc for a person who suffers from diabetes.
