What would you say my likelyhood of developing (or having) diabetes is?

I am 17 year old boy.

I have this ridiculous paranoia problem, so maybe I am just overreacting, but I just wanted to know how likely it is that I will acquire diabetes one day-- or maybe even if I have it already.

I do have a family history of diabetes. My uncle (on my mom's side) died from Type I a few years ago, and my grandfather has it... I think that it is Type I.

I guess that I have some symptoms:

I feel thirsty sometimes. It's not like "Oh, my god... I'm going to die!", but I'm not sure. It might just be a sore throat or something.

I go to the bathroom 7-8 times in an 18 hour day. I go a lot when I am at school, because we have this "No-Leaving-The-Classroom" policy. It's never a HUGE amount of urine that comes out, but it's probably the same amount that someone healthy has when they go 2-3 times a day. I DO NOT go during the night.

I'm NOT losing weight, I'm NEVER hungry, I'm NOT overweight, and I'm only tired because I get 5 hours of sleep at night.

Help?

go to a doctor and find out
I would say 50/50. you will or you won't don't worry about it. IF it happens you can get rid of it. YOU have the control of Type 2 Diabetes. Talk to your doctor.
First Diabetes does run in family. Usually you are thirsty all the time nothing helps the thirst. Usually you get up in the middle of the night to urinate. But you have to consider if you are drinking alot of water that is why you are urinating. Go to dr. and have a blood glucose done. Normal readings are under 110. Get check up don't assume.
Go to your doctor. Get checked your glucose level on blood and also your insulin levels. If your glucose is altered. then you can have other test called glucose tolerance curve. With those tests you will stop worrying. And live your normal life.
So long as you eat healthy and exercise regular you should be OK..I am a diabetic and have been for over a year now and its my own fault because I ate all the wrong things and drunk quite a lot of spirits..didn't exercise either so got fat and finally pushed it right over the edge and became diabetic. so take note don't stuff your face with sweets cakes etc or loads of high carbohydrates and don't loaf around but exercise 30 Min's a day. You will be at risk because its in your family but it is not hereditary.. good luck...
my opinion
I'm sorry about your uncle.

But, I guess you probably know something about diabetes. If you don't, let me tell you as a 17 year old girl with Type I, IT IS A HUGE PAIN IN THE A**.

That said, if you're serious, ask your doctor about doing a fasting glucose test when you go in for your next check-up. There's something else, where they give you an IV and make you drink glucose syrup, too.
