Why do i sweat in my sleep? Is it linked to diabetes?

I became pregnant in july of last year. The night sweats started in november. I gave birth to a preemie baby in January. I developed diabetes that did not go away. The night sweats did not go away. My doctor has asked me if I sweat in my sleep. I told them yes, but nothing has further been discused. I keep forgeting to ask him why this is important. I do not wake up because I am hot. I just wake up cause of the sweat. Do you think it is related to my diabetes?

It is possibly related to the diabetes. I also started out the same way (pregnancy which led to diabetes that never went away,it's been 13 yrs). I was put on insulin, and would wake up at night from the sweating if I did not eat properly before going to bed, once I had taken the needle. If you are on insulin and are not eating properly before going to bed ( i.e supper and a snack) then there is your problem. Mind you all the diabetes related meds can do this, but the insulin is the worst, be very careful if you are on it.
it could be the diabetes, or it could be other things, obesity, thyroid problems, hormone imbalance. many other things as well. ask the doc
When I had diabetes due to my pregnancy I would sweat a lot and the doctors started me on pills and it went away after I started taking medicine. Go see your dr and demand to be tested for diabetes!
it could be but i dont know, me and my father have the same problem i wake up at diffrent time of the night becos i sweat so badly, i think when you are sweating you are releasin the badness of your body out of your system and also i wud keep a bottle of water beside ur bed incase u need a drink or u need sumthin 2 cool you off. it could be your are sleeping under a thich blanket and that cud also make you sweat aswell
