Can someone get disability at age 55 for a bad back and diabetes?? |
I know one woman who told me that she can't work because of this, and she sure goes and does fun things like danceing and gambing. As long as there is a Dr. to back up the claims, and the disability prevents her/him from working the same type of job she has worked in the past or is qualified for and she or he cannot work 6 hours a day or gainfully work and earn the amount it takes to live off of, then it is possible to get disability. Sounds to me like if the woman is able to go out dancing, she is able to work. Believe me, it is very difficult to get over on a judge, even if she were able to convince her Dr. that she could no longer work. In order to do this, she would also have to pull one over on a government paid for back specialist as well as a government psychiatrist. If she is doing all of this, then eventually someone is going to get pictures or videos of her doing this and submit them to the social security office if social security has not already hired a P.I. to watch her and gain the evidence themselves. SSD claims can take years to prove. The minimum is usually somewhere around 2 years just to get into court in front of a judge. Hope this helps. I yes.. i think so It depends on your occupation. If you were a brick layer, you could get disability for a bad back. Since there are millions of people, who are diabetic, including myself. Why do you want to stop work. Work is one of the most rewarding parts of life. I seriously doubt you could do that. Ahh, the land of opportunity where people get to live off of other people's incomes simply because they're lazy. I'll bet this person eats like a pig and is fat, too. Being diabetic and having a bad back can certainly result from being lazy and getting fat. This might explain why this woman thinks she deserves a free ride. I say, turn her in to the authorities. Both the diabetes and back problems can be dealt with through diet and proper exercise. I don't like working from January 1 through May paying taxes just so lazy people can get a check from the government that takes my money and gives it to others who don't usually deserve it.
